Recruit and Retain Talent with Immigration Strategies

Having trouble recruiting talent for hard-to-fill positions? Have you considered hiring newly graduated international students or foreign nationals already in the U.S. workforce? Immigrants currently make up 19% of the existing U.S. workforce. There were more than 1 million international students attending U.S. universities during the 2022/2023 academic school year, with the majority of international students majoring in STEM fields.

Don’t let any unfamiliarity with U.S. immigration law stop you from utilizing this growing talent pool. Immigration options exist for talent acquisition for hard-to-fill jobs. Attend the immigration session by attorneys Lee Ryder Koffend and Ewelina Sawicka and learn how you can recruit, retain and hire foreign nationals into your workforce through many immigration strategies, including:

  • Hiring graduating students on F-1 visas for 1 to 3 years;
  • Hiring graduates and foreign national lateral workers on H-1B, TN, and O-1 visas;
  • Applying for Conrad-30 and HHS waivers for much needed medical graduates; and
  • Planning for permanent residency as a recruitment and retention strategy.

We’d love to host you in Kalamazoo on October 22 or Grand Rapids on October 29, both from 7:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. If you can’t join us in person, don’t sweat it! Starting November 5 and over the course of the next two weeks, we’ll provide the recordings from all of the presentations offered at our live in-person seminars. That’s right, whether you attend in person or virtually, you don’t have to miss a second of content from all of our presenters and breakout sessions.
