Ewelina M. Sawicka

Ewelina Sawicka is an attorney in the firm’s immigration practice group and has five years of employment-based immigration experience. Ewelina’s experience in this area includes assisting healthcare and automotive employers with petitions on behalf of nonimmigrant workers such as H-1B, TN, and L-1 visas. Ewelina also specializes in J-1 Visa Waivers and Schedule A Nurse Permanent Residence cases.

Ewelina was born in Gorlice, Poland, and speaks fluent Polish.  Being an immigrant herself, she has a personal connection and understanding of the immigrant experience.

In her spare time, Ewelina enjoys traveling (has visited over 30 countries!), hiking, reading crime novels and spending time with her family and friends.

Professional Affiliations, Activities and Honors

Ewelina was selected as a 2024 Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) Pathfinder. The LCLD Pathfinder Program is designed for diverse, high-potential, early-career attorneys at LCLD Member organizations.

Education

In 2018, Ewelina earned a Juris Doctorate from Wayne State University School of Law, where she graduated with honors. She received her undergraduate degree from the Michigan State University, James Madison College in 2014.  Ewelina is admitted to practice in the state of Michigan and Washington, D.C.
