Miller Johnson Partners with Michigan Veterans Entrepreneurship Lab

Miller Johnson attorneys and other team members have partnered with the Michigan Veterans Entrepreneurship Lab (MVE-Lab) over the last several years in a variety of ways.

We have served as “mentors” alongside other community members in GR, Detroit, Muskegon and Ann Arbor (and soon Battle Creek) for the veterans participating in the entrepreneurship program including hosting one of the mentor nights for a Grand Rapids cohort in our Grand Rapids office in 2022.

We have presented on “Legal 101” topics for entrepreneurs apart from the mentor night at most of the cohorts.

We have represented graduates of the MVE-Lab on a pro bono basis on both small business and non-profit matters.

Michigan Veteran Entrepreneur-Lab (MVE-Lab) is a free 3-month entrepreneurship accelerator for veterans and/or military spouses. It is designed to provide hands-on startup education for those seeking to add $20,000 or more annual income to their household through small business activity.  MVE is facilitated by the GVSU Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation.

MJ Action, formerly known as Project Giveback, is a pro bono and community service initiative started in February 2021 that provides Miller Johnson attorneys and team members the opportunity to provide support to the community through legal services and volunteerism.
