Miller Johnson Assists Immigration Law & Justice Michigan

On Thursday, September 14, John Koryto, Kevin Battle, Mike Griswold, Ewelina Sawicka, Bryan Meyer and Amanda Kaatz assisted Immigration Law & Justice Michigan with an adjustment of status clinic for its refugee clients. Adjustment of status is the final step in the immigration process before a foreign national receives their green card. We helped 24 refugees, speaking 4 different languages in filing their adjustment of status applications.

Miller Johnson participated is this clinic as part of the firm’s MJ Action initiative.

Immigration Law & Justice Michigan helps low-income immigrants, refugees and asylum seekers understand their choices and navigate the complexities and barriers of the U.S. immigration legal system.

MJ Action, formerly known as Project Giveback, is a pro bono and community service initiative started in February 2021 that provides Miller Johnson attorneys and team members the opportunity to provide support to the community through legal services and volunteerism.
