OSHA Developments and New Regulations
2016 was an active year in occupational safety and health. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) issued new regulations regarding injury record keeping and recording, mandated electronic submission of injury and illness data, new (higher) penalties went into effect, and employers feared their mandatory post-injury drug testing would be unlawful. This workshop will look back on these developments to ensure that employers are in compliance and look ahead to see what OSHA and the Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration (MIOSHA) may have in store for us in 2017.
