Suzanne M. Miller is a member based in Miller Johnson’s Detroit office, practicing in the areas of Real Estate, Tax, and Corporate Law.

Suzanne’s practice includes all forms of real estate transactions and developments, acquisitions, dispositions, financing, opinion letters and property tax appeals.  Suzanne recently represented the purchaser in the financing and acquisition of a $1 billion portfolio of 27 operating properties.  Suzanne specializes in tax matters related to state and local tax, mergers and acquisitions and commercial real estate transactions.  Suzanne also has extensive experience in shareholder matters, corporate governance, entity formation and general business transactions.

Suzanne is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and the American Bar Association.

Suzanne was named DBusiness Top Lawyers in Metro Detroit for Tax Law from 2020-2023.  In 2023, Suzanne and her team received the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) Detroit Chapter’s M&A Deal of the Year award in recognition of their legal expertise in representing the seller in an acquisition worth over $425 million.

Suzanne previously worked at a big 4 public accounting firm where she worked extensively in the area of state and local tax law and litigated at the Michigan Tax Tribunal.

Education, Bar and Court Admissions, Clerkships

Suzanne graduated with her Juris Doctorate from Wayne State University Law School in 2005 and she received her undergraduate degree from Alma College in 2000.  In addition to being an attorney, Suzanne is also a registered Certified Public Accountant.

Suzanne is admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.
