Austin has a comprehensive corporate practice where he counsels clients on various business transactions and general business matters, such as entity formation, corporate governance, commercial contracts, and tax planning. Austin has experience representing middle-market businesses in mergers, acquisitions, dispositions, and restructurings.

Prior to joining Miller Johnson, Austin practiced as a corporate attorney at a reputable Michigan law firm and as a Senior International Tax Consultant at Deloitte.

Education, Bar and Court Admissions, Clerkships

Austin received his Juris Doctorate from University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 2020. While at University of Pittsburgh School of Law he served as the Articles Editor for the Pittsburgh Tax Review and a Senior Editor for JURIST, a legal news and commentary site. He also conducted independent research with Professor Jerry Dickinson where he helped establish a Community Land Trust in Pittsburgh’s Hill District neighborhood.

Austin received dual undergraduate degrees from Michigan State University in International Relations and Political Theory and Constitutional Democracy in 2016.

Austin is admitted to practice in the State of Michigan.
