Lauren Ortega Falconer is a member of our Real Estate Practice. Lauren focuses her practice in the areas of commercial real estate and finance, including cannabis law and telecommunications. She has been practicing real estate law in Chicago, Illinois since 2011.
Lauren represents clients in the acquisition, disposition, development, leasing, and financing of commercial properties, including industrial, multifamily, and retail. Lauren provides a range of legal services to her clients during the life cycle of a transaction – from letters of intent through contract negotiation, due diligence, financing, and closing. She prides herself on finding practical solutions to complicated problems, always working with her clients’ business goals in mind.
Throughout her career, Lauren has represented industry-leading telecommunications companies in lease negotiations with large corporations, private landowners, and municipalities. She has experience in all aspects of the development and modification of wireless facilities, including site identification and analysis and conducting zoning presentations.
More recently, Lauren has expanded her practice to include the representation of one of the country’s largest vertically-integrated cannabis companies. She has experience negotiating leases and alternative financing structures for dispensaries, warehouses, and cultivation sites, with a focus on increasing her client’s speed to market in a fast-growing industry.

Lauren is a member of iMentor Chicago where she volunteers as a mentor and a member of their young executive board.
Lauren earned her J.D. at Chicago-Kent College of Law in 2011. She earned her B.A. from the University of Michigan in 2008.
