Mike Curts is a Counsel attorney in the firm’s Intellectual Property Practice Group. His practice is focused on patent prosecution.

Practice related activities

Mike served for two years as a law clerk for the Honorable Gary C. Giguere, Jr. and for the Honorable Paul J. Bridenstine. During that period, Mr. Curts fell in love with Kalamazoo, Michigan and has stayed ever since. After his clerkship with the Ninth Circuit Judicial Court, Mike began his private practice with a boutique intellectual property firm in Portage, Michigan.

Mike is a member of Kalamazoo County Bar Association and State Bar of Michigan Young Lawyers Section. He is also a member of Michigan Intellectual Property Law Association (MIPLA).

Education, Bar and Court Admissions, Clerkships

Mike graduated from Michigan State University College of Law with his Juris Doctorate and he earned his undergraduate degree from DePauw University with his Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry and Mathematics.

Mike is licensed to practice law in Michigan and Indiana state courts. He is also admitted to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
