Brandon graduated cum laude from Wayne State University Law School where he worked as a research assistant for Wayne Law faculty. He served as an assistant editor of the Wayne Law Review. While in law school, Brandon also worked as a judicial intern at the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. He holds a B.A. in History from Michigan State University and a M.A. in History from University College Cork in Cork, Ireland.
