Allyson T. Bremer
Ally Bremer is an Associate in Miller Johnson’s Business and Corporate practice with the Mergers and Acquisition (M&A) group representing businesses and providers in commercial transactions, behavioral healthcare, and healthcare regulatory compliance matters.
Mergers and Acquisitions
Ally provides legal counsel to private equity buyers, strategic buyers, sellers, and management in all types of acquisition, disposition and investment transactions. Ally supports clients in commercial contracts and agreements, entity formation, licensing and tax issues as well as general corporate law and governance matters.
Healthcare
Ally supports for profit and non-profit business entities including healthcare practitioners, private equity firms, and physician groups as they navigate mergers, acquisitions, and contractual arrangements. She also advises clients on regulatory issues associated with healthcare transactions, such as licensure, HIPAA privacy and security, fraud and abuse risks, and the corporate practice of medicine.
Ally is Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC), with knowledge of relevant regulations and expertise in compliance processes sufficient to assist the healthcare industry organizations in understanding and addressing legal obligations, and promote organizational integrity through the operation of effective compliance programs.
Behavioral Healthcare
Ally works with a wide range of behavioral health professionals, from solo practitioners to mental health facilities, to navigate regulatory and legal issues that arise while delivering behavioral health and integrated care, including substance use record disclosures, licensing requirements, Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement, and on mental and behavioral healthcare providers’ obligations under the Michigan Mental Health Code.

Ally earned her Juris Doctor from Loyola University Chicago School of Law with certifications in health law and compliance. She received her B.A. in Kinesiology and Policy Studies from Rice University and worked for Baylor College of Medicine in Surgery Education prior to attending law school.
