Start Your Engines: OFCCP Announces Companies to be Audited in 2019
As was discussed in the Two Minute Update – Beware The Ides Of March, the OFCCP released the first Corporate Scheduling Announcement List (CSAL) for 2019 yesterday. The CSAL is advance notice of compliance reviews to be conducted during the fiscal year. This year’s CSAL list also includes Section 503 Focused Reviews. These audits will include an on-site review of policies, procedures and documentation of affirmative action and recruitment/outreach aimed at individuals with disabilities.
The OFCCP increased the number of locations potentially subject to review to more than 3,500. The CSAL’s include:
- over 1,200 unique companies,
- over 2,300 full establishment Compliance Reviews,
- 80+ Corporate “glass ceiling” audits,
- 500 Compliance Checks, and
- 500 Section 503 Focused Reviews.
The CSAL list was only posted on the Agency’s website and OFCCP will NOT be mailing individual CSAL’s through the U.S. mail. The CSAL publication now starts a 45-day clock ticking until the OFCCP will likely begin issuing scheduling letters to initiate audits.
