Legal Administrative Assistant – Corporate and Litigation

Miller Johnson is seeking an experienced full-time Legal Administrative Assistant for our Kalamazoo office.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinating administrative and legal practice tasks and projects for attorneys
  • Calendaring and coordinating meetings, appointments, deadlines, tasks, and conference calls
  • Preparing new client intake materials; opening new client matters; billing activities
  • Client interaction by phone, email and in person
  • Preparing, editing, proofreading, and assembling legal documents and correspondence
  • Preparing and filing court documents including electronically through Electronic Case Files (ECF) as needed

Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years administrative experience
  • Corporate and Litigation experience required
  • Advanced knowledge and proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Excellent grammar and communication skills
  • Knowledge of court and agency processes and procedures
  • Exceptional client service, discretion, and judgment to ensure client confidentiality
  • Ability to be flexible and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Proactive, organized and detail-oriented
