Williams Participating in 2020 LCLD Fellows Program

Shoran Reid Williams was accepted into the prestigious Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) Fellows Program.

According to LCLD President Robert J. Grey, Jr., the LCLD Fellows Program offers participants “a year-long, in-depth program devoted to relationship-building, in-person training, peer-group projects, and extensive contact with LCLD’s top leadership and the best teachers in the business.”

The current group of more than 350 attorneys were singled out for leadership and represent a broad spectrum of backgrounds as diverse as the country they serve.  The first meeting Ms. Williams is attending is in Miami from February 21 through 23.  It includes orientation and networking along with leadership development keynote and breakout sessions.  Through the course of the year, there will be opportunities to attend regional meetings at member law firms in Chicago, San Francisco and Washington DC.  There is also ample opportunity for learning experiences with member corporations ranging from Allstate Insurance Company to The Coca-Cola Company and from Fannie Mae to T-Mobile USA.

Shoran Reid Williams’ litigation practice ranges from in-house counsel for a Fortune 500 insurance company to law firm practices in both Georgia and Michigan.  Her experience extends into the areas of administrative law, civil litigation, appellate law, personal injury and family law.  Currently, Ms. Williams practice is expanding into advising business owners in the cannabis and hemp industry on legal issues including compliance, trade secrets, finance, interstate transportation, dispute resolution, and acquisitions.  She frequently speaks on issues related to this burgeoning industry.  Ms. Williams is a member of the American Bar Association, the State Bar of Michigan, Georgia State Bar and the Grand Rapids Bar Association.  She currently serves on the Advisory Board for the Womens’ Resource Center and is a member of Inforum – women’s alliance.  Ms. Williams earned her J.D. from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law and received a Bachelor of Public Administration degree from Miami University in Ohio.  She is licensed to practice in Michigan and Georgia.
