Trevor Mason Selected into the American Bar Association Fellows Program

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. July 15, 2025 – Miller Johnson is proud to announce that Grand Rapids attorney Trevor A. Mason has been selected to serve in the Fellows Program instituted by the American Bar Association (ABA) Section of Real Property, Trust and Estate Law (RPTE).

Mr. Mason is an Associate in Miller Johnson’s Probate and Estate Planning Group where he provides advice for private clients with regards to wills, trusts, estate administration and other estate planning and probate needs, including business succession planning. He assists clients during the estate planning process to identify their goals, analyze their personal and financial situations, and customize and draft unique estate plans that best align with his clients’ needs.

The ABA RPTE Fellows Program provides young lawyers nationwide an opportunity to become involved in the substantive work of the Section, while developing into future leaders. The fellowship appointment is for two years. To be considered for selection, a person must have practiced in the trusts and estates or real property area and have demonstrated leadership at the state or local bar level or in the ABA Young Lawyers Division.

As part of the Fellows Program, Mr. Mason will work with trust and estate lawyers across the country on issues important to the Section while being assigned to work with one or more substantive Section Committees; be involved in a substantive project for the Section, all while being a Section liaison to the ABA Young Lawyers Division or the local bar association; and an active member of the Membership Committee.

Mr. Mason earned his Juris Doctor from Michigan State University College of Law. In addition to his day-to-day practice, he is dedicated to making a difference and fighting for justice – for those less fortunate through his pro bono work and efforts, focused on assisting local legal aid organizations in Michigan.

Mr. Mason has been recognized as a Best Lawyers in America: Ones to Watch in Trusts and Estates and Corporate Law in 2024 and 2025; Michigan Lawyers Weekly Up & Coming Lawyers in 2024; and the Lawyers of Color Hot List for 2023. Mr. Mason is also on the Board of the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) – Western Michigan.
