Miller Johnson Welcomes Two New Associates
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. April 21, 2025 – Miller Johnson is delighted to welcome two new Associates to our Grand Rapids office: Nicole Blanchard and Erin Lane. Blanchard and Lane will join the firm’s Litigation practice.

Blanchard’s practice focuses on commercial litigation representing business and individuals in commercial, insurance, and intellectual property matters.
Blanchard has experience with litigating cases involving a wide area of the law, including trade secrets, non-compete agreements, business divorce, municipal law, and government investigations. She has represented clients in state and federal courts as well as in the American Arbitration Association (AAA) and Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).
Blanchard earned her J.D. from The University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law in 2022, graduating magna cum laude. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from Lee University.
Lane is an accomplished trial attorney and litigator, with experience both domestically and internationally. Drawing on her years of experience working in some of the world’s most challenging environments, Lane expertly assists clients to resolve difficult litigation issues and to identify, investigate, and mitigate legal threats through strategic advocacy.
As a former assistant U.S. Attorney in the Western District of Michigan, Lane has been a formidable presence in the courtroom, acting as the lead attorney in 12 federal jury trials, numerous federal appeals (including six oral arguments), and countless other federal court appearances. Lane led sensitive and complex investigations with numerous federal agencies, including the FBI, DEA, ATF, DHS, and IRS.
Lane earned her J.D. from Michigan State University College of Law and holds a M.A. in Criminal Justice from Loyola University in Chicago.
