Miller Johnson Welcomes Four New Associates to the Corporate, M&A Practice Group

GRAND RAPIDS, MI – January 5, 2026 Miller Johnson is pleased to welcome four new Associates to our Grand Rapids office: Holden Kuhnert, Joseph Mekis, Alexzandra Noffsinger and Gino Piccinini.  All four will join the firm’s Corporate, Mergers and Acquisitions practice and were participants of the Miller Johnson Summer Associate Program.

Kuhnert, Mekis, Noffsinger and Piccinini will assist clients in corporate law with the organization and operation of their business. This includes entity formation, commercial agreements, and general business matters. They will work with clients ranging from closely held and family owned to publicly traded as well as individuals and non-profit organizations.

They also will provide legal counsel in mergers and acquisition transactions to private equity buyers, strategic buyers, sellers, and management in all types of acquisition, disposition and investment transactions. They also will support clients in commercial contracts and agreements, entity formation, licensing and tax issues as well as general corporate law and governance matters.

Holden Kuhnert earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from Michigan State University College of Law in 2025. During law school, he gained experience through internships with Chief Justice Clement of the Michigan Supreme Court and the Michigan State University Office of General Counsel. Holden also served as a member of the Michigan State Law Review.

He holds a B.A. in Political Theory and Constitutional Democracy from Michigan State University’s James Madison College, graduating in 2021.

Joseph Mekis is a graduate from Indiana University Maurer School of Law where he earned his J.D. cum laude in 2025. He was a member of the Business and Law Society and a JD Fellow for both the Indiana Journal for Constitutional Design and the Center for Constitutional Democracy.

Joseph earned his B.A. degree in History, magna cum laude from Hope College in 2022. In April 2022, he was a recipient of the Miles Award in Law.

Alexzandra Noffsinger is a graduate of the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law where she earned her J.D. summa cum laude in 2025. During law school, Alexzandra served as Executive Online Editor of the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law Review and was Secretary for the St. Thomas Moore Society.  She also gained experience working as a Judicial Extern for the Honorable Elizabeth Welch at the Michigan Supreme Court.

Alexzandra holds a B.S. degree in Paralegal Studies from Davenport University in 2022, with high honors.

Gino Piccinini earned his J.D. in 2025 from Indiana University Maurer School of Law. He was a Michael and Janie Maurer Fellowship recipient and a member of the Protective Order Project and was the Executive Notes and Comments Editor for the Indiana Journal of Law & Social Equality.

Gino received a B.A. degree in Social Relations and Policy from Michigan State University in 2021. He attended the James Madison College at MSU.
