Miller Johnson Welcomes David Walz to Med Recovery Practice
DETROIT, MI. November 5, 2025 – Miller Johnson is proud to welcome David Walz to our Detroit office as a Counsel Attorney in the Med Recovery practice group. With extensive experience representing insurance companies in personal injury defense, Mr. Walz brings a strategic, client-centered approach to reimbursement litigation.
Mr. Walz’s practice focuses on pre-litigation investigations, legal research, depositions, mediations, and court appearances. He also represents medical providers in insurance-related disputes, applying strategic legal analysis to recover payment for services and interpret complex policy language regarding coverage and exclusions. Mr. Walz is committed to securing favorable outcomes for clients by staying current with evolving case law and ensuring compliance with both state and federal regulations. His deep understanding of procedural law and dedication to healthcare providers make him a valuable asset to the firm.

Prior to joining Miller Johnson, Mr. Walz represented various insurance carriers, where he led the management of cases from initial assessment through final resolution. His background equips him with a unique perspective on the complexities of reimbursement disputes.
Mr. Walz earned his Juris Doctor from Wayne State University Law School in 2017 and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from CUNY Queens College.
