Miller Johnson Welcomes Aimee Jachym to Kalamazoo Office

Miller Johnson welcomes Aimee J. Jachym, a corporate law attorney and former Principal with Miller Canfield, to the firm’s Kalamazoo office. Ms. Jachym represents businesses in commercial transactions, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance and compliance matters.

During her initial months at Miller Johnson, Ms. Jachym has already closed transactions and contributed to Miller Johnson’s community-focused Project Giveback initiatives, with a focus on the Kalamazoo market.

Using her background in business and international affairs to meet the needs of local and global clients, Aimee Jachym counsels businesses of all sizes, including public institutions and start-ups, in diverse matters ranging from contract negotiations to regulatory matters and complex agreements. She serves as outside general counsel to several corporate clients and advises owners of privately-held entities on ownership issues, corporate governance, and succession planning.

“Joining Miller Johnson at a time when clients are planning for the next generation of growth and active in the marketplace is a great fit for my practice,” said Jachym. “Michigan is experiencing an increase in corporate interest from companies wanting to build and operate facilities here and similarly for those businesses based here looking to expand out of state, and I’m excited about the platform and opportunities Miller Johnson can offer my clients”

Ms. Jachym also represents financial industry professionals and registered investment advisory (RIA) firms throughout the United States. She advises RIAs on SEC and state registration, compliance matters, and client and partner transitions.

Fluent in Korean, Ms. Jachym works on many cross-border and international trade matters. She represents Korean and other international clients doing business in the United States and also advises domestic clients looking to expand their business into new markets.

Among many community and cultural activities, Ms. Jachym serves locally on the boards of the Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra and Community Homeworks. She is also the past-President and Founder of Korean Kids & Orphanage Outreach Mission (KKOOM).

Ms. Jachym was awarded her J.D., cum laude, from Wayne State University Law School where she was a member of Law Review, received the Dean’s Scholarship, and was a Lombard Fellow.
