Miller Johnson Represents American Magic in Strategic Asset Sale Supporting America’s Cup Campaign
The Transaction
In March 2026, Miller Johnson represented American Magic in the sale of key America’s Cup sailing assets to American Racing Challenger Team USA, supporting the return of a U.S. challenger to the 38th America’s Cup, scheduled for Naples in spring 2027.
As part of the transaction, American Racing Challenger Team USA acquired major racing platforms, including the AC75 yacht Patriot and two AC40 vessels, which will anchor the team’s campaign for the upcoming America’s Cup. Following the sale, American Magic Services, based at the American Magic High Performance Center in Pensacola, Florida, will continue to provide engineering, manufacturing, and technical support to the challenger team.
The transaction allows American Magic to support elite American sailing on the global stage while further expanding the commercial capabilities of American Magic Services across high‑performance marine and advanced manufacturing applications.
