Miller Johnson Litigation Section Welcomes Murphy

Miller Johnson is pleased to welcome Amy E. Murphy as an Associate in the Grand Rapids office.

Before joining Miller Johnson, Ms. Murphy practiced for three years at Williams & Connolly LLP, a widely recognized litigation firm in Washington, D.C.  She focused on complex civil and appellate cases and represented public and privately held companies, family-owned businesses, national and regional law firms, targets of government investigations, company executives, and private individuals.

Ms. Murphy served as a law clerk to the Honorable Anthony J. Scirica of the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit from 2013 to 2014 and the Honorable Richard D. Bennett of the United States District Court for the District of Maryland from 2012 to 2013.  She is currently admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and the District of Columbia.

Ms. Murphy is a proud graduate of the University of Michigan Law School, where she earned her law degree with honors in 2012 and served as Editor-in-Chief of the Michigan Law Review.  She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English with honors from the University of Pennsylvania in 2009.
