Miller Johnson Announces 2026 Firm Leadership; Muth and Tabin Elected to New Roles
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. February 26, 2026 – Miller Johnson has announced the following leadership positions, effective immediately, which establish the executive structure of the firm:
Jeffrey G. Muth (Managing Member and Chair of the Management Committee) and Mary L. Tabin have been elected to the firm’s Management Committee for three-year terms. They join Richard E. Hillary II, Dustin J. Daniels, Sarah K. Willey and Kelly Plawinski (Chief Operating Officer) in managing the firm’s day-to-day operations.
As Managing Member, Muth chairs the firm’s five‑person Management Committee and helps oversee the firm’s direction as it continues its strategic growth and its investment in clients and the community. He has led Miller Johnson’s Litigation practice for the past five years and serves as chair of the firm’s Privacy & Cybersecurity practice, advising domestic and international clients on information governance, breach response, cybersecurity insurance, and regulatory compliance.
Tabin served as the past Chair of the Firm’s Employment practice and is vice-chair of the Family-Owned Business and Closely Held Companies practice. She is also a member of the Wage and Hour Practice Group, FMLA / ADA Solutions Practice Group, and on the firm’s Health Care Reform Team.
Richard O. Cherry will continue in his role as the office managing member in Kalamazoo, overseeing client service operations throughout Southwest Michigan. Cherry is a distinguished public sector attorney with more than 15 years of experience in municipal law and criminal prosecution in both Kalamazoo and Chicago.
Fadwa A. Hammoud will remain the office managing member in Detroit. As part of the firm’s senior leadership team, Hammoud drives strategic growth and strengthens client representation statewide. She plays a key role in guiding major service areas, including crisis management, investigations, corporate matters, health care, and municipal law.
Jason J. Keener will serve as the office managing member in Chicago supervising client service activities in Chicago. Keener is the Chair of Miller Johnson’s Intellectual Property Litigation practice group and has over 22 years of experience in litigating intellectual property and technology disputes in federal courts across the country.
