Jeff Turner Awarded Section of the Year by Detroit Bar Association
DETROIT, Mich. June 13, 2025 – Miller Johnson is proud to announce that Detroit attorney Jeff Turner has been awarded Section of the Year by the Detroit Bar Association. This award is presented in recognition of outstanding leadership by an individual serving on a committee or section within the organization. It honors those who have made significant contributions through their leadership, helping to advance the mission and effectiveness of their respective groups. Turner received the award for his work as President of the Detroit Bar Association Barristers, a section for attorneys that have been in practice for ten years or less.
Turner focuses his practice in complex civil litigation, appellate, and government investigations. He has successfully defended class action lawsuits, litigated claims related to securities law and intellectual property, and represented companies in fraud investigations by the Department of Justice. Among his professional accomplishments, he has argued and won in the Michigan Supreme Court and he has obtained complete dismissal of class action lawsuits at the pleadings stage.
The oldest bar association in Michigan and one of the three oldest in the country, the Detroit Bar Association was founded in 1836 and serves Detroit’s legal community through networking, practice development and community service.
