Applications Now Available for Miller Johnson Michigan Diversity Law School Scholarship

Applications are available now until March 1, 2019, for the Miller Johnson Michigan Diversity Law School Scholarship.

The scholarship is provided annually to a student of ethnic minority from Michigan accepted to or attending any accredited law school in the United States intending to earn a law degree. Scholarship recipients are selected by the Grand Rapids Community Foundation (GRCF) and applicants follow the GRCF process. Applications, a list of criteria, and more information is available on the GRCF website, https://www.grfoundation.org/apply-for-scholarships/additional-scholarships.

Application information is provided to all law schools in Michigan and schools throughout the nation as recommended. This scholarship is a means to ensure access to careers in law are open and available to all interested in choosing a vocation in the legal industry.

Established in 2009, the scholarship has been awarded to a wide range of students in various law schools throughout the country and has provided $40,000 in total financial assistance. Past recipients include Ryan Duffy and Kevin Battle, both of whom are now practicing attorneys at Miller Johnson.
