Aimee J. Jachym Named Michigan Lawyers Weekly’s 2026 Woman of the Year

KALAMAZOO, MI – September 18, 2026 – Miller Johnson is proud to announce that Aimee J. Jachym, Member at Miller Johnson and Chair of the firm’s Women’s Initiative Network (WIN), has been named Michigan Lawyers Weekly’s 2026 Woman of the Year, one of the publication’s highest honors recognizing extraordinary leadership, professional achievement, and service within Michigan’s legal community. This honor was awarded during the publication’s Influential Women of Law celebration on September 18.

The Woman of the Year distinction represents a significant achievement among an accomplished class of Influential Women of Law honorees and recognizes Aimee’s exceptional contributions to the legal profession, her clients, her community, and the advancement of future leaders in the law.

“Aimee represents the very best of what we mean when we talk about outstanding legal leadership,” said Jeff G. Muth, Managing Member of Miller Johnson. “She brings excellence, good judgment, generosity as a mentor, and a genuine commitment to service to everything she does. Her impact is felt by clients, colleagues, and the broader profession. This recognition reflects the deep respect Aimee has earned across Michigan’s legal and business communities, and we could not be happier to celebrate this well-deserved honor with her.”

Aimee’s practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and strategic business counseling. She has developed a national practice representing registered investment advisors throughout the United States and also is a trusted advisor to a variety of prominent business and institutional clients, helping them navigate complex transactions and critical business decisions. In addition to her substantial pro bono legal contributions, as Chair of Miller Johnson’s Women’s Initiative Network, she has championed mentorship and professional development opportunities that support the recruitment, retention, and advancement of women attorneys.

Beyond her legal practice, Aimee is deeply engaged in civic and community leadership. She serves on numerous nonprofit and civic boards and has dedicated her time to advancing diversity, representation, and opportunity within the legal profession and broader community. Her volunteer service includes leadership roles with organizations throughout Southwest Michigan and ongoing advocacy for Asian Pacific American communities across the state through her appointment by Governor Gretchen Whitmer to the Michigan Asian Pacific American Affairs Commission.

Aimee’s recognition also marks a notable milestone for Miller Johnson. She becomes the firm’s second attorney to receive the prestigious Woman of the Year honor in recent years. Fadwa Hammoud, who joined Miller Johnson in 2024, was named Michigan Lawyers Weekly’s Woman of the Year in 2023 while serving as Chief Deputy Attorney General for the State of Michigan. Together, Aimee and Fadwa reflect the exceptional talent, leadership, and impact represented across the firm’s attorney roster.

“To have two attorneys associated with Miller Johnson receive this distinguished recognition speaks to the depth of leadership at our firm and our commitment to excellence, service, and advancing the legal profession,” Muth added.

Earlier this year, Aimee was recognized as a member of Michigan Lawyers Weekly’s 2026 Influential Women of Law class, an honor celebrating women attorneys for their achievements in the practice of law, commitment to their communities, service to the profession, and dedication to mentoring others. Her selection as Woman of the Year further distinguishes her among a remarkable group of legal leaders.
