Jamie Kuiper
As President of NCF Michigan, Jamie leads the team in executing our mission to mobilize resources by inspiring Biblical generosity with the vision to see every person reached and restored through the love of Christ. He works with families, individuals, and financial advisors to create a well-planned, intentional strategy for their giving so they can inspire their family, maximize resources, and leave a lasting legacy. Jamie also helps ministries and churches serve their givers by providing innovative and tax-smart giving solutions.
Prior to joining the NCF Michigan team in 2007, Jamie served as president and co-owner of a local construction company. Prior to that, he worked as a litigation attorney in Grand Rapids. He earned his Juris Doctor with honors from DePaul University College of Law in Chicago, and he is admitted to both the Michigan and Indiana state bars.
Jamie and his wife, Becky, enjoy serving together at their local church as well as local and international mission efforts. They are proud parents to three sons, Elijah, Caleb, and Isaiah.
Dan Poortenga
As Vice President of NCF West Michigan, Dan cultivates relationships with prospective givers, leads outreach efforts, and manages strategic relationships with advisors and ministries across West Michigan.
Prior to joining the NCF Michigan team in 2020, Dan worked in business development and project management at both manufacturing and merger and acquisition advisory firms. He earned Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School in Boston, MA, and his Masters in Business Administration from Suffolk University Sawyer Business School.
Dan currently also serves as board chair of the Grand Rapids Public Library Foundation and volunteers at several other local charities through his church. He enjoys many outdoor activities, including golfing. He is the proud father to four children, one in middle school and three in college.
