Managing Complex Wage and Hour Issues Under the FLSA

Wage and hour issues continue to haunt employers. Increased enforcement, increased lawsuits, and new state and local laws are making it harder than ever to keep up with the requirements. In addition, many employers have no idea that they have serious wage and hour issues, and they don’t find out until it is too late.

Are you confident in the answers to all of these questions:

  • Are any of our “independent contractors” or “volunteers” really “employees”?
  • Have we correctly identified the employees who are “exempt” and “non-exempt” from overtime pay?
  • Are we correctly counting the hours for which employees are entitled to be paid?
  • Are we correctly calculating the rate of overtime pay?
  • If any payroll deductions are being made, are we making them correctly?
  • Are we keeping the records we need to keep?

This workshop will help you to confidently identify, repair, and prevent the problem areas that have created serious risks for so many employers.
