Kyle C. Watson is an Associate of the firm and has been practicing law since 2024. His practices areas include Design and Utility Patent Litigation and general IP practice.

Kyle is experienced with matters concerning Automotive and Sheet-metal design, Manufacturing, Architecture, Construction and Project Management, and Software.
Prior to practicing law, Kyle was an engineer and design software expert, earning special recognition as a CATIA Champion for his work in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction field. His work as an engineer included complex automation, design, and manufacturing work for the exterior redesign of the Petersen Automotive Museum in 2015, the exterior redesign of the Suzanne and Walter Scott Aquarium at Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo in 2020, and numerous other projects. During his time at Depaul College of Law, Kyle also worked as an examiner for the US Patent and Trademark Office, working in the Business Methods art unit, providing him with a unique background and skill set to assist clients with their intellectual property needs.
Kyle is closely associated with Chicagoland Exotic Animal Rescue (CLEARescue.org), fostering reptiles and exotic birds while they find their adoptive families, building enclosures for donation, and providing his time and services whenever they are needed.

Kyle received a CALI award in Special Topics: IP Valuation in Technology and Health at attending DePaul College of Law. Kyle belongs to the American Bar Association, Illinois Bar Association, Intellectual Property Law Association of Chicago, and Richard Linn American Inn of Court.

Community Activities
Kyle is active with Chicagoland Exotic Animal Rescue (CLEARescue.org), fostering reptiles and exotic birds while they find their adoptive families, and building enclosures for donation. Kyle previously volunteered with the Kansas City Lead to Read program, providing supplemental reading help for children in 1st to 3rd grade, and with Heartland Therapeutic Riding center, a hippotherapy organization that provided rehabilitation and physical therapy for individuals with disabilities.
Education
Kyle received his law degree in 2024 from DePaul Law School, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (2012) and Masters of Business Administration (2019) from the University of Missouri, Kansas City.
