Jeffrey A. Turner
Jeff is skilled in complex litigation and appeals.
Jeff focuses his practice in civil, appellate, and white-collar litigation. He has successfully defended class action lawsuits, litigated claims related to securities law and intellectual property, and represented companies in fraud investigations by the Department of Justice.
Jeff has experience in all aspects of civil litigation, including taking and defending depositions, writing and arguing dispositive motions, preparing witnesses for examination, conducting discovery, and navigating mediation and settlement. He has argued, and won, in the Michigan Supreme Court. He has obtained complete dismissal of multi-million-dollar lawsuits at the pleadings stage. And he has defeated class certification in federal court.
Outside of the courtroom, Jeff has navigated companies through government investigations under the False Claims Act and state enforcement proceedings.
At the start of his career, Jeff served as a law clerk to the Honorable Joseph H. McKinley Jr. of the United States District Court for the Western District of Kentucky. After completing his clerkship, Jeff practiced at a litigation boutique firm in Michigan for several years.

Education
Jeff earned his J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School, where he received Order of the Coif honors. While in law school, Jeff was Executive Editor of the Vanderbilt Law Review and was Treasurer of the American Constitution Society.
Jeff also received his Master of Business Administration from the University of Detroit Mercy and his B.A. from the University of Michigan.
