Mike Taylor is a Member of the firm and has been practicing law since 1976. He specializes in probate and estate planning and taxation.
Mr. Taylor prepares wills, revocable and irrevocable trust agreements, durable powers of attorney for financial decisions, and designations of patient advocates and assists clients meet goals of protecting minor children, avoiding probate and reducing taxes.
Mike is a member of the West Michigan Estate Planning Council, has served on the Board of Directors and held the office of secretary. He has also served on the State Bar of Michigan Probate and Estate Planning Council.
Mr. Taylor is the past editor of the Michigan Probate and Estate Planning Journal. He is a frequent presenter on the topics of living trusts, estate tax planning and probate administration to community groups, professional organizations, and employees at company-sponsored retirement planning seminars.
Mike has a long-time affiliation with the John Ball Zoological Society. He is on the Executive Board, is a Past President and also served as the Treasurer. He is a member of the Endowment Committee at Mayflower Congregational Church. Mike previously served on the Planning Commission for the City of East Grand Rapids.
