Daniel Schipper is an attorney in Miller Johnson’s Employment and Labor section. Dan’s practice focuses on employment litigation and counseling clients on a variety of human resource matters, including discrimination and harassment, wage and hour, civil rights charges, employee discipline and discharge, and medical leave issues. He prides himself on providing efficient and effective representation as well as practical legal advice that is consistent with each client’s unique values and goals.

As a litigator, Mr. Schipper has helped numerous clients obtain favorable results in federal and state court. He has represented employers of all sizes, from Fortune 500 companies to owner-operated shops. Mr. Schipper realizes that each organization defines success differently, and he carefully considers his clients’ goals and circumstances while guiding them through the litigation process.

As part of Miller Johnson’s Wage and Hour Practice Group, Mr. Schipper regularly advises clients regarding the intricacies of federal and state wage and hour laws. He has also defended numerous companies in actions for unpaid wages, overtime, and employee misclassification.

Outside of work, Dan spends time with his family and donates his time to charitable causes. Dan is the founder and current president of Timotheos USA, a non-profit organization focused on economic development and educational advancement in the rural communities of Malawi, Africa. He has also represented indigent prisoners in constitutional and civil rights cases.
