Dan Schipper is an attorney in Miller Johnson’s Employment and Labor Section.  He has experience in employment litigation and has defended employers of all sizes, from Fortune 500 companies to municipalities to owner-operated shops with less than 20 employees.  He has represented clients in both federal and state law actions, including claims brought under the FLSA, ADA, FMLA, and Title VII.

As part of Miller Johnson’s Wage and Hour Practice Group, Mr. Schipper also has experience in advising clients about the intricacies of federal and state wage and hour laws. He has defended companies in actions for unpaid wages, overtime, and employee misclassification.  In addition, Mr. Schipper counsels companies regarding the full spectrum of employment laws, including wage and hour matters, civil rights charges, workers compensation, immigration, discipline and discharge.

Dan is the founder and current president of Timotheos USA, a non-profit organization focused on economic development in third world countries. He has also represented indigent prisoners in Eighth Amendment claims against the government, and he has donated significant time to local community development organizations.
