Erica L. Quigley
Erica is an Associate in the firm’s Employment and Labor practice group. She focuses her practice on management-side labor and employment counseling and litigation and governmental counseling and litigation.
Employment Counseling
Erica assists clients in drafting employment contracts, separation agreements, human resource policies, and employee handbooks. She also provides advice on workplace issues, including wage and hour issues, health and safety protocols, employee discipline, and disability accommodation.
Employment Litigation
Erica has a proven track record of litigation success, including dismissals, summary judgment victories, appellate wins, and favorable settlements. Her expertise covers claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour disputes, FMLA claims, constitutional violations, wage and hour disputes, and contract issues. Erica has argued cases in both state and federal trial courts and has authored briefs at all state and federal appellate levels.
Traditional Labor
Erica has experience counseling clients who face unfair labor practice charges and representing them in NLRB elections.
Government Affairs
Erica assists public bodies, including municipalities, civil rights organizations, and nonprofits in litigation and counseling related to disputes that have political and financial implications, such as ballot questions, voting rights, and election law issues.
Professional Affiliations
Erica is Co-Chair of the Labor and Employment Section for the Washtenaw County Bar Association. She was also named on the Michigan State Bar Pro Bono Honor Roll several times.
Education and Personal
Erica received her law degree, cum laude, in 2020 from Wayne State University Law School, where she was a President’s Award recipient, served as the Senior Articles Editor of the Wayne Law Review, and worked as a student attorney for the Detroit Free Legal Aid Clinic.
Erica obtained her B.S., cum laude, in Political Science and Philosophy from Central Michigan University in 2016, where she was a member of Phi Alpha Delta Pre-Law Society.
Erica is an avid Detroit sports fan. She and her husband live in the Ann Arbor area with their dog, Champ.
