Erica L. Quigley
Erica is an employment lawyer and litigator who advises sports industry clients, healthcare systems, non-profit organizations, and public entities on complex matters where workplace, contractual, and reputational risks intersect. Her litigation experience gives her a practical lens: she identifies problems before they become courtroom battles and knows how to handle them when they do.
Sports Law
Erica advises Olympic organizations seeking National Governing Body (NGB) status and existing NGBs on governance and compliance matters. This includes drafting and revising codes of conduct, bylaws, sport integrity policies, governance documents, and employment agreements to align with United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee (USOPC) requirements. She also provides counsel to NGBs on USOPC audit compliance and the recertification process with the USOPC.
Erica negotiates commercial contracts involving athletes, athlete representatives, and entertainment agencies, with a focus on clear rights allocation and realistic risk distribution.
Employment and Litigation Practice
Erica advises leadership on employment policies, multistate compliance frameworks, and high-stakes workplace decisions.
Her counseling practice includes contract drafting and negotiation, governance development, and executive advising on operational risk. Because she litigates regularly, she approaches counseling with an eye toward what actually triggers disputes—and how to prevent them.
Erica has achieved consistent trial and appellate success, including jury verdicts, summary judgments, dismissals, and favorable settlements in employment and commercial disputes. She represents clients in state and federal trial courts and has authored appellate briefs in state and federal appellate courts.
Erica counsels clients on traditional labor matters, including unfair labor practice charges, union campaigns, and NLRB elections.
