Kelly Plawinski is the Chief Operating Officer of Miller Johnson. She partners with firm leadership to drive strategic growth, enhance operational efficiency, and cultivate a high-performing, people-focused culture. In her role, she supports both administrative and legal teams, ensuring that firm operations align with strategic goals while fostering an environment where attorneys and staff can excel. A strong advocate for leadership development, she is passionate about investing in people, removing obstacles, and strengthening collaboration across the firm.

Before joining Miller Johnson, Kelly served as Chief Operating Officer at Adamy Valuation, where she played a pivotal role in streamlining operations, standardizing methodologies, and implementing frameworks that increased productivity and positioned the firm for expansion.

Prior to Adamy, Kelly spent more than a decade at Ford Motor Company, where she built a strong foundation in corporate finance, process improvement, and strategic planning. Her experience in financial reporting and enterprise-wide initiatives honed her expertise in optimizing business operations and driving efficiency at scale.

Kelly is deeply engaged in the West Michigan business community. She served as President of the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) Western Michigan and previously chaired the ACGWM Programming Committee. She is a past board member and strong supporter of the Family Business Alliance and currently serves on the East Grand Rapids Schools Foundation board. Passionate about leadership development, she has been involved in LeaderWork, Junior Achievement, and Hello West Michigan, while also mentoring emerging professionals.

Kelly holds an MBA from the Eli Broad College of Business at Michigan State University and a BS in Accounting from Purdue University.
