Blake Padget is an Associate in Miller Johnson’s Employment and Labor Section. He works with a variety of clients from industry groups such as health care, manufacturing, distribution and education.
Mr. Padget counsels companies on a wide range of employment laws, including wage and hour matters, FMLA leave, discipline and discharge, as well as disability accommodation. He also works closely with employers solving issues related to traditional labor law.
In addition to counseling clients on complex labor and employment topics, Mr. Padget works as a part of our employment litigation team.
Mr. Padget is a graduate of The University of Toledo College of Law where he earned his J.D., summa cum laude, in 2018. He was the Note Editor for the University of Toledo Law Review. During his time at Toledo, Mr. Padget also served as a member of the Moot Court and Trial Advocacy Teams.
Mr. Padget received a B.A. degree in History from Alma College in 2015. His leadership at Alma College included being the President of the Delta Gamma Tau Fraternity and the Captain of the Football Team.
Mr. Padget co-founded T.A.C.K.L.E. a non-profit in Alma, MI. The organization’s mission was to alleviate the cost associated with youth sports in Gratiot County. He also currently serves as a member of the Alma College Alumni Board.
