Morgan E. Stowell is a litigation attorney in the firm’s Medical Recovery Group. Ms. Stowell works with hospitals and medical providers seeking insurance reimbursement on patient accounts. Prior to joining Miller Johnson, Ms. Stowell practiced litigation and represented various insurance companies.

Medical Recovery Litigation:

Ms. Stowell handles complex litigation involving insurance reimbursement matters. She advocates for the reimbursement of medical services from health insurance providers and no-fault carriers. Her responsibilities include conducting legal analysis, depositions, mediation proceedings, and court appearances to achieve the most favorable outcomes for clients. Ms. Stowell remains up to date on the latest case law developments and ensures adherence to both state and federal regulations and statutes.

Ms. Stowell is admitted to practice law in the State of Michigan and in the United States District Court., Western District of Michigan. She is a member of the Grand Rapids Bar Association.

Education, Bar and Court Admissions, Clerkships

Ms. Stowell is a graduate from Michigan State University College of Law where she earned her J.D. in 2019. While in law school, she was the Articles Editor of the MSU College of Law International Law Review, a student clinician at the MSU College of Law Low Income Tax Clinic, and a member of the Women’s Law Caucus. Ms. Stowell also gained experience working as a Legal Extern for the Kent County Prosecutor’s office.

She received her Bachelor of Arts in History from Western Michigan University.
