Alison F. Khorey is an attorney in the firm’s Litigation Section and has been practicing law since 2011. Ms. Khorey has extensive experience representing medical providers, including hospitals and physician groups seeking insurance reimbursement on patient accounts. Prior to joining Miller Johnson, Ms. Khorey spent several years representing insurance companies and their insureds, defending personal injury protection, bodily injury liability and general negligence cases.

Healthcare Reimbursement Litigation

Ms. Khorey practices in the firm’s healthcare reimbursement practice group, where she works to obtain payment for medical services from health insurers and no-fault insurance companies. She litigates complex no-fault personal injury protection cases and is skilled at handling all aspects of disputed cases from initial investigation and discovery through appeal. She works to obtain the best possible results for her clients on wrongfully denied patient claims, often including interest and attorney fees.

Professional Affiliations and Honors

Ms. Khorey is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and is admitted to practice in the United States District Court – Eastern District of Michigan and the United States District Court – Western District of Michigan.

Ms. Khorey has been recognized as a Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in America™ for Commercial Litigation, Health Care Law, and Insurance Law in 2024 and 2025.

During law school, Ms. Khorey was the Managing Editor of Outside Articles for the Villanova Sports and Entertainment Law Journal. She also received the Dorothy Day Award for pro bono service as part of her work with the Villanova Law School Pro Bono Society.

Education

Ms. Khorey earned her law degree from Villanova University School of Law in 2011. She earned her bachelor’s degree in philosophy with a minor in music from the University of Notre Dame in 2008.
