Saniya Khare
Saniya Khare is an Associate in Miller Johnson’s employment and labor practice group. She counsels clients in all aspects and stages of employment litigation, arbitration and a variety of traditional labor matters. She also has general employment and HR counseling experience, and experience with work place investigations.
Traditional Labor Law
Saniya has experience working on, union-management relation issues and labor arbitrations. She has successfully navigated clients through many difficult labor law issues including subcontracting, severance pay, union-insignia, employee discipline and benefits, and protected concerted activity.
Employment Litigation
Saniya is a part of the employment litigation team defending employers in cases including claims arising under Title VII, ADA, ADEA, FMLA and FLSA. She frequently defends employers in front of the EEOC and MDCR in response to charge of discrimination, harassment and retaliation. This includes drafting motions, conducting legal research. She has successfully defended claims for employers arising under the Michigan’s Whistleblowers Protection Act, and other state specific statutes.

Education, Bar and Court Admissions, Clerkships
Saniya is a graduate of University of Illinois College of Law where she earned her J.D. cum laude in 2018. During law school, she clerked for a large health system and competed on University of Illinois’ College of Law ABA negotiation team and made the Dean’s List. She earned her undergraduate degree in 2015 from Wayne State University. Saniya is admitted to practice in all Michigan state and federal courts.
