Mark Greidanus is an Associate at Miller Johnson. He is in the business section working with the real estate practice group.
Mr. Greidanus deals with a variety of matters related to commercial, industrial, mixed use, and residential development. This includes construction contracts, land use matters, and finance as well as sales, acquisitions and leases. He assists other members of the business section with the real estate components of mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and secured financing. He also serves clients by assisting them with business formation, management, transactional, contractual and other issues. He has also represented a large energy provider in closing on a large wind park project.
Professional Experience and Affiliations
Mr. Greidanus served two clerkships while in law school. The first in 2017 was as a Judicial Clerk with Honorable T.J. Ackert with 17th Circuit Court Family Division in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Later, he worked for two semesters and one summer as a law clerk for the Indiana Attorney General’s Office of Consumer Litigation. His prior experience also includes being a Litigation Paralegal for two years and Intern/Assistant Intelligence Analyst at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in Washington D.C. in 2014.
Mr. Greidanus has continued to build on his experience as a clerk for the Indiana Attorney General’s Office, Data Privacy Section, by assisting on Cybersecurity and Data Privacy Matters handled by the firm.
Mr. Greidanus has used his past litigation experience to assist litigation teams working on an assortment of disputes, including construction, supply-chain, bankruptcy, and landlord-tenant.
Mr. Greidanus is a member of the State Bar of Michigan.
Mr. Greidanus is currently serving as a board member of Tall Turf Ministries, a local nonprofit focused on racial reconciliation. Mr. Greidanus is a volunteer coach for the West Michigan Special Hockey Association. In the past, he has volunteered with the Volunteer Tax Income Assistance Program, the YMCA, and Degage Ministries.
Mr. Greidanus earned his J.D. magna cum laude in 2019 from Indiana University Maurer School of Law. He was on the Dean’s List and is a member of the Order of the Coif. While in law school, he was actively involved in the Entrepreneurship Clinic, the Moot Court Competition, executive leadership of student organizations, and multiple Transactional Drafting Competitions. He also served as an articles editor of the Indiana Journal of Global Legal Studies. Mr. Greidanus earned his B.A. from Calvin College in 2014 and was the recipient of several merit-based and service-based scholarships. He is licensed to practice in Michigan.
