Bryce C. Akins
Bryce Akins is an Associate in Miller Johnson’s Litigation practice group. Bryce focuses his practice on commercial litigation, employment disputes, and insurance litigation.
Practice related activities
Bryce maintains a diverse commercial litigation practice. He has litigated a variety of matters, including breach of contract, violation of noncompetition, nonsolicitation, and confidentiality clauses, supply chain disputes, civil rights claims, and insurance disputes.
Professional Affiliations, Activities and Honors
Bryce is a member of the Federal Bar Association for the Western District of Michigan, the State Bar of Michigan, and the Grand Rapids Bar Association.
While in law school, Bryce earned membership into the Order of the Barristers for excellence in oral and written advocacy.
Education, Bar and Court Admissions, Clerkships
Bryce earned his J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law. While in law school he served as a Dean’s Fellow for Legal Communications and Research Skills II and as Charles C. Papy Moot Court Vice President – Advanced Appellate Advocacy. Bryce also served as a judicial intern in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida with the Honorable Roy K. Altman.
He graduated from the University of Michigan with a B.A. in Political Science & History.
